I spotted this on one of Larry posts (nice work) and its well worth sharing.

This site is a interactive map, which as you hover over a country reports on the Birth and death rate, population and level of CO₂ emissions. It is a simualtion and is based on current data. Its a powerful and interesting tool.

Here are the stats for New Zealand and the US.

and interesting comparision – per head of population the US emits 6 x the amount ofCO₂ as NZ and twice as much as India.

The birth rate date comes from World fact book 2006 and death rate from the same source in 2005. The CO2 emissions from 2002 UN figures.
