Virtual Global Taskforce

Cyber-safety is again a news item. The BBC has published this morning an article on the British government pledging to protect teachers from phone and internet based cyber bullying. The article is quite a good one, but I am concerned that they are now considering cyber-bullying to be a “serious disciplinary offence”. There is definitely some catch up needed here.

A video that was highlighted recently on cyber safety and is well worth watching and using is this one produced by the Virtual Global taskforce.  Its an excellent little clip that highlights the dangers of chatrooms and the anominity factor. It good, appropriate and suitable for Middle and Senior school students
