Room design
IKEA produces a very good design tool that is free to use (its selling there products after all). This is a good tool for the Visual and Kineasthetic learners.
Its a 17MB download that allows you to design kitchens, workspaces and bedrooms. Essentially here is what you do:
- design the room shape and size
- Add furniture from selection
- manipulate the objects – rotate etc
- Change from plan view to 3D and manipulate

The design Workspace – visual and drag and drop

Select the room shape and set the dimensions

Select the basic fixtures and fittings – door, powerpoints etc

Select and place the furniture – rotate to fit

View in 3d – Rotate and change the viewing angle. You can save the end product and also print it.
