Resources for Boolean Searches

I am preparing for a presentation and I need to find some resources on Searching and within searching Boolean Searching.

There are some great tools out there that are worth sharing:

Boolify is a search site using the google Engine.

Simple drag and drop the jigsaw elements to construct the search and its “and” “or” “Not” criteria.

The search results are shown underneath theĀ  working pane. A good simple tool.

Kathy Schrock’s The Boolean machine is an interactive explanation of Boolean search logic. Simple straight forward and easy to follow:

The starter sheets are resources I have developed for Google advanced searches and Boolean searches.

A rubric for Using search engines to find accurate information is available here – http://edorigami.wikispaces.com/Rubrics+-+Bloom%27s+Digital+Taxonomy

Kartoo is an interesting and useful search tool. While it is a meta search engine, it offers another dimension to the many tools available
