Graphing calculators or iPod Touch?

Most schools require students to have a graphing calculator when they reach the dizzying heights of Senior mathematics. The students (or perhaps their parents) invest in these tools. The cheapest price I found was $116 for a Ti82. Which is alot of money for a tool with limited application beyond the mathematics and perhaps science [...]

Starter Sheet – Mindmeister

This is the latest installment in the starter sheets. This sheet looks at the use of a collaborative mind mapping tool in Mathematics.
Mindmeister is free in its basic addition and allows the users to collaborate on the map. The interface is simple to use and quick and easy to learn. Users are required to register.

NECC Vol 3 – Tabula Digita

This is an interesting product – a 3D immersive mathematics game. Kids play in 1st person either individual or in teams. They have instructional modules followed by the games themselves.
Can be competitive between schools and districts. Neat
